Have you ever had one of those days where everything seems like they’re going against you?

We all go through days like those here and there… Right?

I can recall days where I would wake up late for work, sleeping past my alarm. Rushing to head out the door, not even having time to have breakfast.

Next thing you know, all the damn traffic lights are red — one after the other.

And then, you hit the morning traffic. Fun.

You finally get to work and you’re greeted with a whole bunch of tasks that need to be completed EOB. More fun.

And that’s just the vibe of the whole day — full of stress and just, blah.

I’ve had many days like this… Until...

I DECIDED TO INTENTIONALLY FIND THE SMALL WINS.

So, instead of starting off the day with stress, it would go a little something like this:

If I were to sleep a bit past my alarm, naturally I’d be a little frustrated, but the first thing I do is count my first win, which is WAKING UP.

Just waking up each morning is a major win. A very overlooked win that many of us take for granted.

Next, rushing to get out the door to my car. Two wins: having a home to walk out of and having a car to transport me places.

Traffic. What’s a small win that I can identify from traffic? Well, just being safe in my car and getting to work in one piece is a win.

And those work tasks that are due by the end of the day? First, to even have a job is a win. And to have the ability to do the work that I’m assigned to do is another win.

Life is full of small wins. If you just shift your mindset to see that, you’ll be living a happier life, my friend.

What’s a small win that you can think of right this moment? Identify it. Embrace it. And be thankful.
